Having Mass Offered for Your Intention

A priest of the monastery can offer Mass for the intention of someone who formally requests it.

There is never any cost for this. However, people do ask what free-will donation they might make when asking that Mass be celebrated for their intentions. Our local bishop has made the suggestion of ten dollars ($10).

If you wish to ask us to offer a Mass for your intention, you can arrange for it in person at our monastery gift shop.

You can also do it by mail. In that case write out your intention clearly and legibly (otherwise we won't be able to honor your request). If your intention is for someone who has died, please be sure to tell us that.

Address your intention to:

Mass Intentions
Prince of Peace Abbey
P.O. Box 3470
Oceanside, CA 92051-3470

It is safest that any donation you send in the mail be by check (payable to "Prince of Peace Abbey") or money order, rather than cash.

We honor requests for Masses in the order in which they arrive, and only as soon as we are able. We cannot guarantee any specific date on which a Mass for a specific intention would be offered.

Please note that we are not able to fulfill requests for "Gregorian Masses."
